Number one on internationalization
Jönköping University is number one in Sweden on internationalization within humanities and social sciences, according to new national ranking.
In the new national ranking, Jönköping University is ranked high in terms of internationalization. Business and economics and social work, and humanities and social sciences overall, top the charts, and within healthcare the university is in second place.
The study is based on several criteria and overall Jönköping University is ranked on place thirteen, which is the highest of all universities with general education programmes. This means that the university climbed two places from last year's ranking.
For each subjects the university is consistently ranked in the top 10 and stands out as number three in education within business and economics, number four within social work, and number five in total within humanities and social sciences.
- It is of course positive that we are successful in the ranking overall, and internationalization is one of our strengths. We offer students, teachers and researchers an international academic environment both on campus and abroad. We are one of the best in Sweden in terms of international student exchange and also when it comes to attracting fee paying students from outside the EU/EEA, says Anita Hansbo, President of Jönköping University.
