Dr. Mohammad Sobuh has an orthotics and prosthetics background. He completed his Ph.D. in upper limb prosthetics at the University of Salford, UK in 2012. He worked for the University of Jordan, Amman Jordan at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences in the Orthotics and Prosthetic Department as an Assistant Professor from 2012 till 2022. During his time at the University of Jordan, he was appointed Head of Department for several years. In 2022, he has joined Jönköping University, and currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the School of Health and Welfare in the Department of Rehabilitation. In addition to his teaching duties in the department, Mohammad is also co-directing the Master's programme in product development, specialisation in in assistive technology (MASTech).

Mohammad’s research interests span various aspects of upper limb prostheses, including:

·         Myoelectric control

·         Motor control

·         Movement Science

·         Behavioral psychology.

 

Mohammad has made significant contributions to the field, including:

·         Validating clinically feasible methods for assessing upper limb temporal and amplitude variability in myoelectric prosthesis users.

·         Investigating visuomotor behaviours during functional tasks with myoelectric prostheses1.

·         Exploring technology for monitoring everyday prosthesis use
