  • Success for Spring Inspiration Fashion Show


    On Saturday, 22 April, one of the largest annual student events was held in Jönköping, the Spring Inspiration Fashion Show. The show is Scandinavia's largest student-run fashion show. It is organized by students within Jönköping International Business School's (JIBS) student association and involves students from the other schools at Jönköping University (JU) as well.

  • JU alumnus named as Preschool ‘powerhouse’

On the Preschool Days, the ‘Årets förskolekraft’ (Preschool ‘powerhouse’) award is given out, which this year went to Malin Gummesson, an alumnus of the preschool teacher program at the School of Education and Communication(HLK) at Jönköping University (JU).

About 100 people came to the SPARK conference at Jönköping University on 20 April, which is a platform where researchers and teachers meet the business life.     Wednesday, 19 April, was the big day for the Grand Final in the prestigious competition JIBS Entrepreneurship Challenge 2023 at Jönköping University. An annual competition where students get the challenge of solving a real business case in 24 hours. This year Husqvarna provided the challenge - to craft a future concept of Husqvarna AutoMower to meet the demands and expectations of Gen Z. The prize pool was SEK 130,000, donated by the Aktiestinsen Foundation.

The number of first-hand applicants to Jönköping University increased slightly this year. A total of 6,398 have chosen JU as their first-hand choice, an increase of 2 %.

    Exchange students in Thailand. About ten students from the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) are doing their exchange semester at JTH's partner universities in Bangkok this spring. Many of them have combined their studies with an internship or by doing their thesis at one of JTH’s many partner companies in Bangkok.
