Jönköping University part of Climate Week

This year’s Climate Week (Swe: Klimatveckan) takes place 16-22 October in Jönköping County. The theme is “Energy – we have the power, together.” Jönköping University (JU) will contribute by arranging two events, one on methods for increasing participation in sustainability work, and the other is a presentation of the JU’s tools for visualizing the global goals of the 2030 Agenda.

Climate Week in Jönköping County is organized by the Climate Council to contribute to the county's common vision of a climate-smart plus-energy county by 2045. Eva Gipperth, University Director at JU, is JU's representative on the Climate Council.

“Climate Week is an important part of the work to make climate initiatives visible in the region and to exchange and spread knowledge about the climate work that is being done. For Jönköping University, the unique scope for cooperation, and the opportunity to contribute to the county's sustainability goals is part of our own strategic work,” says Eva Gipperth.

The aim is to create cooperation, dialogue, and joint projects at JU’s companies and that the tool becomes a platform and catalyst to inspire. At this event, the tool and its intended use will be presented.
