CHILD welcomes new doctoral students
In August the research environment CHILD at Jönköping University welcomes five new doctoral students in Nursing Science and Disability Research.
Anna Karin Axelsson is a new Ph.D. Student in Disability Research at School of Health Sciences. Anna Karin Axelsson's thesis will be about children with profound multiple disabilities and their participation in family activities. Her tutor will be Mats Granlund, professor in Disability Research at School of Health Sciences and the thesis will be called 'Participation in family activities in children with profound multiple disabilities'.
Emma Carlsson is a new Ph.D. Student in Disability Research at School of Health Sciences. The overall aim of the proposed project/thesis (Can stress induce type 1 diabetes in children?) is to investigate how psychological stress influences the immune system in children, with focus on one of our severest public-health diseases,type 1 diabetes (T1D) and the preceding autoimmune process. Professor Maria Faresjö, Department of Natural Science and Biomedicine, School of Health Sciences, will be Emma Carlsson's tutor.
Eva-Lena Einberg is a new Ph.D. Student in Nursing Science at School of Health Sciences in Jönköping. Main tutor is Jens Nygren, Associate Professor in Medical Science, Halmstad University, and second tutor are Karin Enskär, Associate Professor in Nursing Science, School of Health Sciences in Jönköping and Petra Svedberg, PhD, Lector, Halmstad University.
Eva-Lena Einberg's work will be about development and evaluation of an Internet based digital service for peer support for children with experiences of paediatric acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). The thesis will be called: Peer support among survivors of paediatric acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
Johanna Norderyd is a specialist in dental care for children, mainly children with disabilities. Johanna Norderyd's thesis will be about oral health in children with disabilities and ICF-CY. Mats Granlund, professor of Disability Research at School of Health Sciences will be her tutor.
