Overview

This programme develops your ability to apply economic models to real-world problems and to use various methods of data analysis to solve them. The programme offers a semester of practical applications of economics on issues that companies and organisations are facing, a 10-week internship, and courses in programming and machine learning.

After graduation, you will have the skills to work closely with decision makers, processing and analysing large quantities of data and communicating your analyses to managers. Future workplaces could be domestic or international companies, public organisations, aid organisations, and organisations like: the UN, the EU, and the OECD. Some possible roles are data analyst, analyst, strategist and business developer.

The basic semester includes microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics and econometrics. The next semester consists of current topics in economics, for example environmental economics or transport economics. During that semester, you have the opportunity to apply theories and practical tools to real situations at companies and organisations.

The programme has 10 weeks of compulsory internship, which can be done anywhere in the world. The internship is an opportunity for you to expand your understanding of how economic theories and tools can be applied to real problems.

After graduation, you have the skills to work closely with decision makers, process and analyse large amounts of data, and present an analysis of your data to leaders. Future workplaces can be national or international companies, public organisations, aid organisations and organisations such as the UN, the EU and the OECD.
