  • 50 million SEK for green transition in industry


    The School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) has been awarded SEK 49,200,000 from the Knowledge Foundation for the GRACE research profile, which supports the green transition in the manufacturing industry, and will run from 2024-2032. Eleven companies are participating. JTH now has three research profiles funded by the Knowledge Foundation.

    The prior knowledge that a school class has affects teachers' teaching and thereby also students' results. This is according to new research from the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU). Pontus Bäckström's dissertation is about the importance for a student to be in the right class with the right classmates.
  • Female entrepreneurs in retail are more stressed than men


    Female entrepreneurs in the retail sector are facing an increasing risk of burnout compared to their male counterparts. According to research from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University, nearly half of female entrepreneurs in retail experience high levels of burnout, which is significantly higher than that of men in the same industry.
  • Companies learn about AI transformations in research projects


    Husqvarna Group, Combitech Sweden, Fagerhults Belysning AB, Siemens Energy and Bufab are learning more about AI transformation through the research project PropAIr at the School of Engineering in Jönköping (JTH) and Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University (JU).

    The past decade has been characterized by crisis after crisis. Who do people listen to when there is a crisis? Whose advice do they take, and what kind of information do they rely on? In times of social media and fake news, it turns out that people are listening to both newspapers and governmental authorities. That is the conclusion reached by researchers from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University and the Stockholm School of Economics in a new research study.
